EXCELLENT instructions for an AMERICAN MADE Squirrllanator trap, I knew this could be done but I was in too big of a rush to get rid of as many of these tree rats as possible, so I bought the SHY NA produced ones THINKING I was buying American made ones
So you just copied the Squirllanator AOK .... so what was YOUR total cost??
Good idea on the envelopes for the resistors. The taped storage drives me nuts. and the 1/8w combined with the poor color of the coding rings is frustrating and I always wind up measuring the values anyway. Been avoiding buying a bunch of storage for this stuff.
What keeps the bee from flying up and crawling out the same way he went in ?
Just what I’ve been looking for. Great looking design and simple too! Thanks! Just one thing - what type of gravel is that? It almost looks like paver sand.
How do I override the 275 degrees to go to 400?
Very CooL and very inexpensive.
looking forward to the next video, was thinking about making an automated watering system for my garden with one of these but haven't taken the leap yet.
This to great to believe, I am speechless. I too have watched Paul McWarders videos, he had two different series on Arduino. One you had to have a cut of hot coffee then the next one you had to have an iced tea, 🙂 These series are, as you say great for someone like me. (I am totally illiterate in electronics - but still want to do it) This is something that I am more than interested in and will be very grateful to you if you choose to do what you say. I am going to go ahead and order the items you have links to such that we are ready here to follow along with you. Well, my wife is mowing the lawn already and only 3 weeks out, what a great lady. On the window project, I know exactly what you mean about that it seems like you are living in a new house. We noticed how much the traffic noise went away. And in addition to the energy thing there is another big advantage. Just after we put the new windows in we had an awful wind and hailstorm. It took the siding all off of the west side of the house. And it broke all the windows out on that side too. But only the outer pane of glass. No dirt and debris got into the house because all the inside pains were intact. The salesman said that was common because the broken pane on the outside is enough to slow the hail down and not break the inside one. So, we got all new upper and lower sashes again. That was very easy each window had a serial number and he just got that and new sashes came and fit perfectly. Hope you are doing well. Thanks for the video and all the effort you put into them.
Use A&W rootbeer for your finish coat speeds the curing time. only A&W rootbeer has worked. The concrete cures from the inside out
Coooool - this is going to be a great series. I have suspected that one day your son would finally trip the switch for you to explore micro-controllers. Any chance your son is willing to show us some automation projects he’s worked on as well? 👍😎👍
Good grief and gravy. I’m watching this video and all of a sudden it cuts to a commercial where this woman is talking about her husband’s amazing horse cock trick. Anyway great video and thanks for the tip about straightening a warped board too.
My skil 77 has the metal handle. Circa 1971, and works great to this day. It’s a gem and not the type of saw you mishandle and abuse. Thanks for the info. It was helpful.
They are great saws!
I bought my skil 77 in 1971, 53 years ago. Great saw for structural framing and deck building as well. Only parts I’ve replaced are the cord, brushes, and foot after one of my carpenters dropped it from a roof we were framing. Thanks for the instructional demonstration as I had a problem with excessive sparking. Thought I needed an armature but cleaned the parts up and installed new brushes. Also when it was disassembled washer springs fell out, but followed your video which was very helpful. Thanks
You are very welcome. Thank you for letting me know it was helpful.
Can I ask why you all decided to go to the Butler? I was just getting ready to build my own system but now I’m like….ummmm…..😅 much appreciate! Love your video!! Would love to see you build a system like the Craft Box! Great work and thanks a ton for all the info & videos!!
We do over a hundred charity quilts a year and having to manually adjust the pattern for each one was taking too much time. In addition the way it was set up there was no way for us to start in the middle of a pattern if needed, so if you had an issue you had to start again at the beginning and stop at the exact second so you could start the stitching and if you missed it you had to do it all over again. It is very doable if you are only doing a few quilts a year and enjoy the process. I'm assuming you have seen my other videos on CNC Quilting Machine. The Butler was by far the best deal for us cost wise and does not have an annual fee like some systems. We have been very happy with it. I hope you come up with a solution you like.
I found my DW712N mitre saw in a skip. Ground off the seized main armature bearing. Ordered new. Put arm. in freezer for >24hr in clingfilm. Bearing arrived. Pushed it on with finger pressure. Got Trend 60 tooth blade and fitted. Running champion.
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing.
When I plug in a three prong extension cord it trips my outlet breaker. When I add a 2 prong reducer it works fine. Any ideas. I wouldn’t think the ground plug would cause it to trip the breakers.
Thank you, question, I have a HQ. Is it possible for the timing to be out completely? I’ve been taught to time my own by a HQ Tech because of where I live. I’ve timed mine over 20 times and it’s been slipping more often. According to their helpdesk, they said it’s not close enough to the hook. It skipping stitches forward, not backwards or not side to side. It stitches along just fine, maybe every other quilt, I have to retime. Do you have any suggestions? It’s computerized and I haven’t hit anything. It just happens.
I really only have experience with my machine, however... Timing should not be an ongoing issue and should only need adjusting if you jam the needle into the hook or something comparable. If you are setting the timing and it is working correctly then 2 quilts later it is off then the screws holding the hook in place are coming loose and allowing things to move. If you have set it this many times it is likely that the shaft that the hook is attached to is chewed up from the tightening the screws. Maybe a little sandpaper would help smooth them out. Not too much as you don't want to make the shaft smaller. Try tightening everything up as much as possible and see it that works. Sorry that's all I know to try. Remember once you set it, it should not change so something is not tight enough or is loosening up and allowing the hook to move. Good luck!
Can you please show male mender thanks
Hi Sr. Soat Mon... I watched all your videos about the sewing machine, I saw the connections for the blackbox of the two servos but I didn't see the connection between the sewing mahine's motor to the blackbox. I also didn't understand how the movement of the needle motor will coincide with each stop by the Gcode points. thanks
The machine has to have it's own stitch regulator. It is a very common thing on longarms and can be added. Look on the internet and you will find them. The CNC only moves the machine around, it has to do the stitch regulating.
Sand underneath with and lil bit of concrete mixed in really helps with stability of the grade material, and it's easy to slope and work with the establish drainage. Looks good to me!
That's a great idea, thanks!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
It's always the seat that fails triggering the blowoff valve which does not need servicing. I have a rather large pile of SR 450 etc bought at auction so I notched a piece of pipe to clear the nipple, gauges and blowoff valve then welded some angle to that so I can clamp the fixture in a vise. I grind the chamfer off the socket I use for the seat nuts (use a SIX point socket) to get full engagement. (The chamfer on sockets guides the broach during production and is of zero use to anyone using the socket, I remove them for any thin nut.) The seat part number normally fits multiple regulators so I keep seats and whole kits handy.
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Unfortunately i gotta give a thumbs down for the dumb down. Glad you survived.
Thanks for the video explaining these.
Glad it was helpful!
The carpet solution is a really good one, I agree. You are right about the concrete idea. And for me it is always so much work to get the materials and get the mixer out and all that goes with that. Your dogs will love using this for years to come. And I sure would like to see your 12 foot nails. Just kidding, I did see your correction. We couldn't help our selves and we went a put in a pretty full garden beans, okra, purple hall peas and tomatoes. It just isn't right to go without a garden. About the surgery, No the knee and hip are not at the same time. Knee, then in about three months possibly the hip. But you ask a good question, I have heard of people doing both at the same time. I don't think that is wise. Something like that very nearly did my sister in a few years back. How are the new windows working out? Is that project all finished up. I have a little painting and laying laminate flooring in my wife's sowing room them I will be FINISHED with the hours. Finished 40 years later, I don't want to hurry things. Enough chatter, and thank you for the video.
I admire you putting in a full garden. I hope all goes well with your wife's surgery! The windows are completely done and are fantastic. It's like being in a new house. We still have to fix some paint in side but that will come one room at a time. I know what you mean about not getting in a hurry I started this house in 1987 and still have not finished...
How this is really interesting!
Looking for this tool in kenya to no avail .
A small diameter pipe would work just as well. Good luck!
I'm wondering if anyone noticed the exact symptom for this failure. Mine leaks air like this one, but the anvil that drives the nails won't return to its upmost position, which is what got me on this in the first place. This happened right after I rebuilt the upper seals which failed due to incompatible cheap seals, which lead me to thinking I had put it back together wrong. Great video, thanks. I'm having the same issue and will take mine apart. Gotta wonder why they make these things with O-rings that don't hold up like that. Such a cheap part, and such a pain when it fails.
Agreed. Thanks for sharing your experience.
thanks for the amazon link Soat!💪💪
You're welcome!
Very useful video- thanks! I'm using chicken wire for a planter setup, and this was perfect. Also: I'll be doing chickens soon, so it will come in handy then too. Much appreciated.
You're welcome! Thanks for taking the time to let me know!
"come back in 10 years" heck, can't remember where it was a week ago :) thanks for the video
Lol. Me too!
Very good advice. It took a while but now I am getting better at this and better in putting pictures like this where I can find them. And it doesn't take 10 years for me to forget. How about the next afternoon. This idea likely would work really good for wiring issues too, I would think. I can forget where wiring goes in 10 minutes. How are things going for you this spring. We relented and started a small garden even with my wife's surgery. But I am still thinking about the best way to do raised bed plantings. Thanks for a good idea in this video.
I'm with you I forget almost instantly and I hate digging and looking for things. I'm glad you got to start a little garden. I hope it goes well for you. My yard is not in the best shape. I told my wife the other day it looks like no one lives here. If things don't get done before it gets hot they usually don't get done. It's going to be 97 this week... I hope everything is going well for you and your wife!
All wise words
Thanks!
Underground, under floor, behind walls, anywhere.
You bet!
Very good vid 👍👍 This should probably save me from a nasty hospital visit
Thanks!
Holy smokes that cool
Thanks!
I have T12 F40 bulbs. It doesn’t say which end goes to the power. It does say remove this label before installing. The other end has the bulbs info. So, which end goes to the power? I gave this a try and blew both bulbs. Use this vid at your own risk.
That’s a small lead wire mine fits inside where you bolt the wire
Great video, short and to the point. Thank you for the info, now to work.
Thanks! I hope your project goes well!
Excellent lesson. Too many people neglect this step.
Thanks!
And because it's part of the fun!
Yes!
No water needed?
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you for your videos. I'm in the process of doing same for my wife's longarm. I'm finding it a challenge to find adjustable screw tensioners for the 10mm wide idler pullies. Can you suggest where I might find some options? Amazon seems to have parts for small CNC printers etc. Thanks in advance.
round style toilet brush chucked into a drill would probably make quick work of cleaning the tube and it would seem that it'd be this guys style! I'm not sure how many of these he has around his farm
I do use a round toilet brush but no drill. Just a few scrubs back and forth and it's good to go.
Thanks. Very helpful.
You're welcome!
And you're always saying you're not an artist, this is some real creative stuff
Thanks!
Very good repair job. I always like watching how you come up with simple but effective solutions to problems and do it with hardware items. I think you learned how to take the hared out of hardware! I like the idea of strengthening the joint around the cross fitting. Thanks for the video and the learning. I suppose we are not going to have a garden this year. My wife will be having a knee and a hip replacement this year and coming up very soon. The knee that is. There is just too much to do and not enough time for all the outside work. So I suppose we will wait until next year for gardening. Not good but the best I know how to do.
Holy cow a hip and a knee. Surely not at the same time. I hope everything goes well for her.
